A. Measuring Equipment (계측 장비)

• A-1. Sound level meter shall be of type approved for IEC 61672-1 (2002-05) type/class 1.
• A-2. The octave filter shall be of type approved for IEC 61260 (1995).
• A-3. Sound calibrators shall comply with IEC 60942 (2003-01) and be approved by the sound level meter manufacturer.
• A-4. Sound level meters shall have a valid calibration certificate (within the last 2 years).
• A-5. Pre- and post-measurement calibration shall be performed using a sound calibrator.
• A-6. The windscreen shall be used, ensuring it does not affect measurement by more than 0.5 dB(A) under "no wind" conditions.

B. Personnel Requirement (인적 요건)

• B-1. Ensure that all personnel conducting noise assessment are qualified in accordance with the relevant instructions.

C. Operating Condition – At Sea Trial (시운전 시 운전 조건)

• C-1. The ship shall be in loaded or ballast condition, maintaining a steady, straight course.
• C-2. The ship shall operate at normal service speed, not less than 80% of MCR.
• C-3. Controllable pitch and Voith-Schneider propellers shall be set to normal seagoing positions.
• C-4. All machinery, navigation instruments, and radio/radar equipment shall be in normal operating mode.
• C-5. All HVAC equipment shall be in normal operation.
• C-6. Measurements in spaces containing emergency machinery (e.g., diesel generators, fire pumps, thrusters, hydraulic power packs) shall be taken while the equipment is running.
• C-7. All interior spaces shall be fully fitted and furnished as intended.
• C-8. For thrusters, measurements shall be taken at 40% power; ship speed shall be adjusted as appropriate for thruster operation, covering machinery spaces and adjacent accommodation.
• C-9. Stabilizers shall be measured in their normal operating condition.
• C-10. Additional noise measurements in DP (Dynamic Positioning) mode shall be taken at control stations and accommodation spaces to ensure limits are not exceeded.

D. Environmental Condition – At Sea Trial (시운전 시 환경 조건)

• D-1. Water depth shall exceed five times the draft; there shall be no large reflecting surfaces in the ship’s vicinity.
• D-2. Meteorological conditions shall not exceed wind force 4 and 1 m wave height.

E. Operating Condition – In Port (항만 체류 시 운전 조건)

• E-1. Measurements shall be taken in areas where cargo handling equipment may cause excessive noise (recommendation).
• E-2. For RO-RO vessels, measurements should be taken during loading/unloading operations (recommendation).
• E-3. Measurements shall be taken in machinery spaces with equipment running in port condition.

F. General Measurement Procedure (계측 절차)

• F-1. Only essential personnel required for ship operation and measurements shall be present.
• F-2. Sound pressure levels shall be recorded in dB(A).
• F-3. Sound pressure levels shall also be recorded in dB(C) if $L_{Aeq}$ exceeds 85 dB(A).
• F-4. If $L_{Aeq}$ exceeds noise limits, frequency analysis shall be conducted to identify sources.
• F-5. Measurements shall be performed using an integrating sound level meter with spatial averaging over at least 15 seconds.
• F-6. Microphone height shall be 1.2 m (seated) to 1.6 m (standing) from the deck.
• F-7. Distance between measurement points shall be at least 2 m; in large spaces without machinery, intervals shall not exceed 10 m.
• F-8. Measurements shall not be taken closer than 0.5 m from the boundaries of a space.
• F-9. Measurements shall cover all points where work is performed.
• F-10. Microphone shall not be placed within a 30° angle of the gas stream direction.
• F-11. Measurement point shall be at least 1 m away from intake or exhaust openings.

G. Specialized Measurement Areas (구역별 세부 계측)

• G-1 (E/R). Measurements shall be taken at working stations, control stations, and adjacent control rooms.
• G-2 (E/R). Microphone shall not be located within 1 m of operating machinery, decks, bulkheads, or air inlets.
• G-3 (E/R). For machinery noise, the SLM shall be 1 m from the machine at a height of 1.2 m to 1.6 m.
• G-4 (E/R). Measuring points shall be within 3 m of the machinery being assessed.
• G-5 (Navigation). Measurements shall be taken on both bridge wings, specifically on the lee side of the ship.
• G-6 (Accommodation). One measurement shall be taken in the center of the space.
• G-7 (Accommodation). The microphone shall be moved horizontally/vertically over a 1 m distance.
• G-8 (Accommodation). Additional measurements shall be taken near head positions of seated/lying persons if spatial sound variance exceeds 10 dB(A).
• G-9 (Accommodation). Minimum 40% of total cabins shall be measured.
• G-10 (Accommodation). Measurements shall be taken in recreation areas on the open deck.
• G-11 (Unoccupied Area). Measurements shall be taken in all locations with high noise levels where seafarers may be exposed.
• G-12 (Cargo Hold). At least three microphone positions shall be used in areas where personnel perform work.

H. Reporting (보고)

• H-1. Ensure the noise survey report presents readings for each area.
• H-2. Confirm that the document regarding daily noise exposure levels is available on board.
